About:
Within a calendar year activities will include drawing, mixed media, painting, and construction. Core basics of composition, drawing and colour mixing are covered. The design process is inherent in activities. Drawing is a core study and the design process (creative problem solving) is inherent in all activities.
We are aware that students will have different art experiences prior to joining the class. Therefore we aim to accommodate the beginners as well as to extend the more advanced. A variety of teaching styles are employed. Some activities are more tutor-directed which others are designed for student extension.

Cost:
Fees for 2025 Term 1: $387 being for a 9 week term (GST Inc).
Fees covers basic materials for activities eg: A3 papers, paints, construction materials, charcoal, clay, brushes etc
Students are asked to provide the following
- Small, flat, pencil case: to be plastic or wipeable material— eg Studymate Pencil Case Small 250 by 120mm
- For inside your pencil case: Faber-Castell Kneadable Eraser, Pencil Eraser, Pencils: 2 of each: B, 2B, 6B, Pencil sharpener.
- A3 Cartridge Pad or A3 Visual Diary
- A3 size, 270 to 300 gsm, economy grade watercolour pad.
- Recommended brands for this watercolour pad: Canson, Eraldo Di Paolo, Artist Spectrum, Reeves and Born. Do not purchase the following brands: Mont Matre, Art Studio, Art Academy, Derwent watercolour pads. Do not purchase rough texture. Do not purchase an acrylic pad
