We aim is to encourage students to extend their art practice.
This class aims to cater for different levels of experience and technical skills. Basic understanding of colour and painting techniques is a pre-requisite for this group. The focus is on drawing and painting. Directed activities and discussions are aimed at the extension of concepts and techniques. While online participants work on their artwork, join in the discussion, and have the chance of one-on-one discussions with Nicola about the progress of their work.
A theme is selected for each term as a starting point for directed activities. Ongoing students may decide to keep working on a previous project and be mentored.
You become part of an online art community where you are encouraged, challenged, and mentored.
You are also invited to join the Friday Morning Art Forum (9.30-10.30am) for alumni and current students – a free, weekly recurring forum, which you access by contacting Jennifer via the email@example.com . The forum is a discussion platform where Brizart artists (current and past) and Brizart tutors meet online to support and encourage each other. Some email images of artworks that are completed, or in progress, and the group discuss, give feedback and enjoy.
All students must provide their own materials, drawing boards, and easels. No doubt you will have your own set of materials already. A basic list of materials is attached.
