- Symptoms
If you are experiencing COVID-19 like symptoms, cough, elevated temperature, or not feeling do not attend. If the tutors observe that you are unwell you might be asked to leave. If you are missing a lesson due to COVID symptoms you can ask to be connected to the class via ZOOM.
- Before the doors open:
- If you are assisting with the setting up use hand sanitiser before and after. Do not touch your face until you have sanitised your hands.
- Door handles, light switches, table-tops and taps in the Pavilion will be wiped before and after the class.If you wish to wipe down your chair before sitting in it, spray and paper towels are available
- Arriving and departing
- The venue must not be entered until a staff member indicates that the necessary pre-class clean has been completed. So you might not be permitted to enter before 9.30 am.
- As an end-of-class wipe down is needed students are requested to leave promptly at 12.30 pm and move away from the Pavilion.
- While waiting to enter the teaching area, observe social distancing.
- When entering and exiting please queue, observe social distancing, and use hand sanitiser.
- Take notice of the signage relating to the COVID-19 restrictions, before the activity commences.
- During Class
- Contact tracing records are mandatory. Before a class commences the Attendance List will be updated. Activity organisers must record the name, address and contact numbers of all participants and maintain the record for 56 days as per Government requirements. - When inside, in accordance with Queensland Health Department Guidelines all persons must maintain Social Distancing. ( i.e. at least 1.5 metres between individuals) and refrain from physical contact.
- Do not rearrange seating as it will be set up to enable social distancing. If it needs re-arranging notify staff.
- Only persons participating in the approved activity may remain within the venue during the activity. (i.e. accompanying persons must remain outside and exercise social distancing there as well).
- The windows or doors of the Hall must remain open to ventilate the space.
- Reduce the sharing of equipment and tools. Use their own brushes and drawing materials. If materials and equipment need to be shared they are to be cleaned before and after.
- If tutors need to access your work, move from your chair and maintain social distance. Alternatively masks might be worn.
- When tutors are demonstrating, all participants are to maintain social distance from each other and the tutor. Or the tutor might opt to wear a mask.
- Hand sanitiser will be available at the entry and exits and also at the hand washing sink. Upon entering and exiting the Pavilion all persons must sanitise their hands.
- Before and after using the sink sanitise your hands.
- No catering supplies will be offered. Bring your own themos flask or water bottle, or purchase warm drinks from the Brookfield Store.
- Lockdowns
In cases of a Covid Lockdown, all classes will immediately go online via zoom. Zoom Classes will be only 2.5 hrs .There will be no credit or refunds. If the lockdown is longer than two weeks and zoom classes do not suit the student, then credit for the remainder of the term will be given.
