At Brizart, we aim to create an environment where we can enjoy the art process, enjoy meeting other artists, and keep everyone as safe as possible, especially in the current climate. This is an ongoing process.

In addition to the covid plans below, as from term 1 2022, these updates also apply to all in-person classes.

Vaccinations

A peak in COVID-19 cases and hospital admissions is expected within the next few weeks, from the last week of January to the first week of February. It is sensible to delay the start of Brizart classes until after this period so that everyone can feel as safe as possible, to give more time for those who are eligible to have a booster, and for the students under 12 years old to get at least their first dose.

All staff, students and visitors, aged 12 and older must show proof that they have received 2 doses of a COVID-19 vaccine to enter the Brizart Teaching Studios. All under 12-year-old students are required to have started their vaccination process (i.e. one dose), or if short supply of vaccines makes this impossible, to have at least a first vaccination booking to start the vaccines.

Brizart will keep a register of vaccine status, so it will not be necessary to check every time the students come to class.  Parents and visitors will be required to show the green tick, or a certificate upon signing in if they wish to enter the Teaching Studio.

Vaccination status can be sent electronically or sighted by me, or your tutor, on the first day of class, before entering the Brizart Teaching Studios.

This is now a condition of attending Brizart classes.

Face Masks

Face masks must be worn indoors everywhere in Queensland, including at Brizart. There will be masks available if you forget to bring one.
